RESEEN

Reseen is an experimental exploration on the landscape genre and specifically focuses on Sanpete County, Utah. The artists are compelled by ideas of what is, what makes, and what can be a landscape, challenging what is expected of a traditional landscape work rejecting paint on canvas and pushing and pulling between the 2nd and 3rd dimensions of the art world. The works embody the ideas of a scape being individual elements yet also a whole and challenge the way we perceive them. Pots are masses, berries are scenery and yarn is a horizon. Each individual piece is greatly influenced by the elements surrounding the artist, in several works these elements are prevalent, in others it is hidden, and in some it is implied.
