The Sky Seeped In


Through the poisoning of a pansy using the historical photographic process of cyanotype, first utilized for botanical studies by Anna Atkins, The Sky Seeped In plays homage to the historical practice while alluding to the ominous contemporary toxins of agriculture. As the cyanotype is swallowed by the plant, its petals stain blue, manufacturing a desired color at the cost of the plant’s life.
